The electrical wire winding tool has a body (10) including a tube (11) forming a winding surface for the wire with a shoulder (12) at the tube end. A washer (20), which can be slid along the tube, cooperates with a wire (1) locking part (30) so as to clamp the washer in the direction of the shoulder. The locking part is formed by a strap (31) fitted with an end stop (32) and having on at least part of its surface a series of teeth (33). The strap (31) passes through the washer (20) and the body shoulder (12) and extends parallel to the tube (11) along two opposite directions so as to form a loop between the washer and the shoulder. The stop (32) is applied against the washer and the free end of the strap is engaged into a toothed slot (23) in the washer.
