The procedure for realizing a cartography of the effects on the ground of the passage of a vehicle involves measuring the parameters of these effects by at least one matrix of sensors comprising load sensors, identical or not, and which are preferably three-dimensional, and if necessary a means of characterizing the form and/or localization in the ground location where the effects or pressures are felt. A cartography is then made up of the effects on the ground or contact on the ground by an appropriate processing means utilizing the relationship between the effect created and vehicle and object or part of it having generated the effect. An Independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the said procedure.
