PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deflection yoke that is capable of completely correcting a Yh-axis shift through fine adjustment of the volume position of the variable resistor, even when the Yh-axis shift is large. SOLUTION: The deflecting yoke 2 comprises a correction means for correcting the misconvergence of the electron beam. The correction means comprises coils 4a, 4b, which are respectively wound on a pair of magnet core 3a, 3b and a correction circuit for controlling the correction magnetic field which the coils 4a, 4b generate. In the correction circuit, an auxiliary coil 13a and an adjustment coil 14a correspond to a coil 4a, and an auxiliary coil 13b and an adjustment coil 14b correspond to a coil 4b. A variable resistor 22 is a variable resistor for correcting the Yh-axis shift. The resistor 31 is connected in series with a coil 13a, so as to match the impedance of the auxiliary coil 13a and the impedance of the auxiliary coil 13b.
