PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel substrate, in which a plasma display panel substrate having fewer processes and a high quality can be manufactured easily and with good yield. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of a plasma display substrate, in which a resin composite layer and a base body having a recess are pressure fitted, and then by removing the base body, a pattern of a resin composite having a form corresponding to the recess of the base body is formed on the surface and the pattern is provided on the substrate, the difference between the surface tension of the resin composite layer and the surface tension of the base body, having the recess at the time of removal of the base body having the recess, is set at 2×10-3 N/m or large.
