PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pull out the signal lines and ground lines of two-dimensionally arrayed vibrators so that ultrasonic waves radiated to the back part of those vibrators can be prevented from being reflected between the vibrators and backing materials. SOLUTION: At the molding of baking materials 1, signal lines 5 and ground lines 6 are preliminarily stretched around in the hollow parts of jigs 311 and 312 according to the array pitches of two-dimensionally arrayed vibrators, and the melted backing materials are poured into the hollow parts. After the packing materials 1 are hardened, the jigs 311 and 312 are removed, and the backing materials are finished in prescribed dimensions. Then, signal electrodes 2c and ground electrodes 2b of vibrator elements 2 are aligned with the signal lines 5 and ground lines 6 exposed on the edge faces of the backing materials 1, and the vibrator elements 2 are fixed.
