PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a high-speed and expensive CPU is needed because the conventional header processing for communication data is conducted by software and is hardly made fast. SOLUTION: The data processor is provided with lookup tables 11, 12 that register reference data, a lookup table that references header information of the communication data from the reference data in the case of capturing communication data arrived from a network to output a matching signal, a header box 4 that has a plurality of stages of registers placed hierarchically with a common formed predefining reference information freely in a rewritable way and suggests how to reference the header information, and a reference control section 13 that is provided with reference stack registers 14, 15 that temporarily store designation of a table from the header box 4, comparison instructions of data registered in the table, instructions of connecting the registered data to the comparison data and header information and that is connected to the lookup table via a bus 16.
