PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the reverse insertion preventive function without providing an expanded portion on an outer surface of a terminal piece. SOLUTION: A notched part 17 is formed in a casing part 11 of a female side terminal piece 10 on a ceiling side at tips of right and left side plates 11B. A projecting part 34 fitted to the notched part 17 is formed in a cavity 24 at the position close to a wall surface side with a lance 26 formed thereon on the tip side of the right and left wall surfaces. When the female side terminal piece 10 is inserted in a regular attitude, the projecting part 34 is pressed into the regular position while fitted to the notched part 17, and locked by the lance 26. When the female side terminal piece 10 is inserted in an irregular attitude in the vertical direction, a tip of the casing part 11 is touched by the projecting part 34 before advancing to the regular position, and cannot be further inserted, nor locked by the lance 26.
