PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long, narrow, and thin inverter transformer suitable for driving a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: In this long, narrow, and thin inverter transformer, a square- shaped long and narrow core is constituted by combining a rectangular long and platy narrow I-shaped core 8 and a long and narrow platy U-shaped core 9, composed of a rectangular long and narrow platy connecting lever 91 which has a length almost equal to that of the core 8 and outer connecting lever legs 92 protruding from both ends of the lever 91 perpendicular to the surface of the lever 91 by abuttingly joining the front end faces of the legs 92 to the surface of the core 8.
