PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an applicability of a system without widely changing a conventional system by a method wherein a function of digital watermarking data is also extended to a scope other than a copy protection. SOLUTION: In a digital watermarking detector, after digital watermarking data is detected, different operations are executed in correspondence to a lower 4-bit value of the digital watermarking data.
