PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly make a track shift to dubbing operation by pushing down a dubbing button during the reproduction of a CD in a video/sound recording and reproducing device. SOLUTION: When data at the head of the track during reproduction is stored in memory and the dubbing button is pushed down during the reproduction of the CD, a seek amount is reduced by starting reading from the position offset by the data quantity stored in the memory from the head position of the track during reproduction. Moreover, as soon as the dubbing button is pushed down, the data stored in the memory is started to be transferred for dubbing. Therefore, the time from the user operation to the start of dubbing is reduced so that user's waiting time is reduced. |
