PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system of a special picture effect device capable of acquiring history information regarding the operations conducted in the past. SOLUTION: The control system of the special picture effect device comprises a special effect controller 271 for controlling the special effect device, and a main operating unit 272 and a sub-operating unit 273 for operating the controller 271. The controller 271 has a history memory 274 for storing a command received from the unit 272 or the unit 273 and an identifier of the unit which transmits the command correspondingly, and can acquire history information regarding what operation was conducted by what unit in the past.
