PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a method for detecting a different feature information from a peripheral information, as well as achieve detection of the boundary line between an object and its background. SOLUTION: The method for detecting a different feature information from a peripheral information is achieved by a network consisting of the steps S11, S12 and S13. In the step S11, there is spatially disposed an element which transits from a stable motion to a chaos motion by an input to the element defined by a function which generates the chaos motion. In the step S12, an element is disposed such that only a portion relating to the space where a different feature is disposed transits from the stable motion to the chaos motion by performing a differential calculation between spatially adjacent elements with regard to the output signal from the step S11. In the step S13, an element is disposed such that only a spatial portion relating to the different feature generates the chaos motion from the stable motion by integrating the output from the step S12.
