FRONT PLATE FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front plate for a plasma display panel that enables making of a plasma display panel having a high display contrast. SOLUTION: The front panel for a plasma display panel comprises a compound electrode, made of a transparent electrode and a bus electrode on the substrate and a dielectric layer formed so as to cover the compound electrode. The bus electrode is made a double-layer structure, composed of a black electrode and a bus main electrode from the side of transparent electrode. The black electrode contains 60-98 wt.% of a conductive powder, 1-30 wt.% of a black inorganic oxide and 1-10 wt.% of glass frit. The bus main electrode contains 90-99 wt.% of a conductive powder and 1-10 wt.% of glass frit.
