PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech merge service where a communication unit can take its part in a speech path as an extension phone without a little speech interference and a little hold time. SOLUTION: This invention especially merges a speech applied to a subscriber having already been busy with other speech with an active speech path of the subscriber. A prescribed merge allowable caller number(MACN) list of a called subscriber is checked to decide whether or not a participating speech can be merged with the active speech path. When a number relating to the participating speech exists in the prescribed MACN, the participating speech is merged with the active speech path. Especially, the participating speech is disregarded and subjected to a busy processing.
