The invention concerns a method for crosslinking polysaccharides. The inventive method consists in a process for crosslinking at least a polymer selected among polysaccharides and their derivatives, under the action of at least a polyfunctional crosslinking agent. The invention is characterised in that said polyfunctional crosslinking agent is made to react on said polymer, in solid state, during hydration. The invention is useful for producing hydrogels and gels, in particular for use, in repair or cosmetic surgery.
