Production of a foam sealing strip around the edges of a glass car roof (10), comprises using a foam-producing tool to apply foam (18), applied as two fronts with a junction area (24). The thickness of the foam in this area is less on the deaerating side (40) of the tool than in the area (42) on the opposite side of the junction area, to inhibit inclusion of gas bubbles in the junction area. An Independent claim is included for a car roof produced as above.
