A composition for the topical application of vitamin C comprising one or mor e lipid-soluble forms of vitamin C, one or more water-soluble forms of vitamin C and one or more alpha hydroxylated acids. The composition can also comprise an anhydrous gel, ethoxydiglycol, a lipid-soluble analog of pro-vitamin B-5, alpha-Bisabolol, and one or more forms of vitamin E.
