PROGRAM PROVIDING SYSTEM

A program providing system which can realize program provision matching users. This system comprises a settop box (STB) and a receiver (TV) which receive program data broadcasted from a broadcasting station (BC) and provide programs expressed by the program data to the users and a portable telephone (MS) which is housed in a mobile communication network (MN) and holds IDs (identifying information) capable of specifying users. The portable telephone (MS) transmits control signals including IDs to the settop box (STB), which holds the IDs and attributive information corresponding to the IDs. When receiving a control signal from the portable telephone MS, the settop box (STB) executes a processing matching the attributive information corresponding to the IDs included in this control signal.
