摘要 A novel agent (A) for improving the viscoelasticity of rubber is stable in presence of oxygen at room temperature and is obtained by reacting an alkyl-lithium compound (I) with a free radical compound (II); and/or (ii) is a free radical compound containing specific lithiated functional groups. A novel agent (A) for improving the viscoelasticity of rubber is stable in presence of oxygen at room temperature and is obtained by reacting an alkyl-lithium compound (I) with a free radical compound (II); and/or (ii) is a free radical compound containing lithiated functional groups of formula -N(Li)-C(=O)-R and/or -N=C(R)-O-Li. R = 1-20C alkyl or aryl. Independent claims are included for rubber compositions comprising a starting diene rubber and: (a) the rubber viscoelasticity agent (A) present at 0.01-10 wt.%; (b) the rubber viscoelasticity agent (A) which has been mixed with the rubber in a mastication stage; (c) at least 10 wt.% reinforcing agent(s) and 0.01-1 wt.% radical compound(s) (B) containing at least one nitroxide, hydrazyl, allyloxy or trityl radical and at least one isocyanate group; (d) 0.01-1 wt.% of compound(s) (C), selected from compounds containing a nitroxide radical, hydrazyl radical, allyloxy radical, trityl radical and analogous compounds also containing at least one substituent selected from isocyanate, amino, hydroxy, carboxy, oxirane, thiirane, ester and amide groups, the starting rubber being a tin-coupling diene rubber; and (e) 0.01-1 wt.% of compound(s) (D), selected from compounds containing a nitroxide, hydrazyl, allyloxy or trityl radical and at least one isocyanate and/or amino substituent or analogous compounds, the starting rubber being a tin-coupling diene rubber. In (a)-(e) all percentages are by weight based on the starting rubber and all of the additives (A)-(D) are stable in presence of oxygen at room temperature.
