A METHOD AND AN ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING A SURFACE DURING OPERATION

The invention relates to a method for cleaning a surface (4;30;60) during operation, which surface is in continuous movement, whereby a blower arrangement (1;41) blows pressurised gas towards the surface and a suction arrangement (2;42) sucks up most of the gas emitted by said blower arrangement, as well as particles separated from the surface after passage of the gas. The method is characterized in that the blower arrangement blows gas over an area having a width constituting only a part of the total width of the surface, transverse to the direction of movement of the surface, and in that the blower arrangement is controlled to successively blow gas over a number of part-areas so that an area corresponding to the whole width of the surface is cleaned. The invention also relates to a corresponding arrangement for performing the method.
