<p>Reduced FK228 represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof; histone deacetylase inhibitors, transferred gene expression potentiators and reactivation promoters comprising these compounds; and drugs containing the same as the active ingredient, wherein R?1 and R2¿ are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or a thiol-protective group. Because of having a potent histone deacetylase inhibitory activity, these reduced FK228 and salts thereof are usable in preventing and treating various diseases in which deacetylation of histone participates and gene therapy for these diseases.</p> |
