The invention relates to a method for producing a strip-type, elongated elastic element (12) for supporting an elastic rubber wiper strip (22) of a windscreen wiper for vehicles. Said element has two parallel flexible bars (26, 28) separated from one another by a gap (24), the end sections at least of said bars being connected together in a fixed manner by cross-struts (30, 32), which are positioned on one surface (14) of the flexible bars and bridge the gap. A particularly advantageous production method for a support element of this type is obtained if the prefabricated flexible bars (26, 28) are aligned in parallel and in pairs and are connected together in a fixed manner by means of at least one strip-type retaining element (44) placed transversally to the flexible bars. In addition, the grille-type connection (54) obtained in this manner is subjected to at least one additional process, which consists of releasing the support elements (12) from said connection (54) by separating the retaining elements (44) between the respective pairs of flexible bars (26, 28). |
