<p>A frequency converter module converts a first frequency to a second frequency. In one embodiment, an up-converter includes a mixer having at least one stub for reflecting harmonic energy back into the mixer so as to improve its efficiency. In a further aspect of the invention, an up-converter can perform a conversion from about 3 GHz to about 30 GHz in a single conversion. In another aspect of the invention, the module can include a gate voltage control circuit to provide a predetermined drain current to a power amplifier. In another aspect of the invention, an up-converter module includes a transition from a substrate, such as microstrip, to a circular waveguide.</p> |
