<p>A file adapter (A) for a motor driven workpiece cutting tool (T) comprises a power head (13) reciprocating an elongate file (F) coupled to a ramrod (16) reciprocated thereby on a forwardly projecting axis (a). The file has top and bottom faces (23, 24) with cutting means (25) on the bottom face. The adapter includes a forwardly extending member (29) carried by the power head of the tool and positioning a resistance means (R) for engaging and downwardly pressing the top face of the file forwardly of its coupled engagement to the ramrod. The file is a second class lever with its fulcrum coupled to the ramrod and its resistance pressured at said resistance means when its cutting means forcibly engage a workpiece.</p> |
