PORTABLE TELEPHONE

A portable telephone comprising a telephone body, a band, a connector connecting the telephone body and the band together, and a shape stabilizing mechanism. A receiver is provided on one of the telephone body and the band, and a transmitter on the other. The telephone body and the band are integrated at the connector into an annular or band-like shape, and can be kept in an annular or band-like shape by the shape stabilizing mechanism. When the telephone body and the band are in an annular shape, the annular portion having a size and shape for fitting over an arm allows the portable telephone to be worn by being wound around the arm as is the case with a wrist watch.
