Disclosed is an amplifier circuit with offset compensation, especially for a Hall element (HS). According to the invention, demodulation of the error signal is carried out by means of an error signal demodulator (FD1,FD2) in addition to the usual useful signal demodulation which occurs downstream from the amplifier. The measuring signals derived from the Hall sensor are decoupled at the input or output of the amplifier (OP1) and a demodulated error signal is counter-coupled at the input of the amplifier (OP1). As a result, the stop control range of the amplifier (OP1) can be reduced. The amplifer circuit is especially suitable for use with chopped Hall senors (HS).
