A device for ascertaining and calculating the corrected movement data for a specified sequence of movements of a movable device or tooling, has an image detection device, such as a digital camera (11) and a computer unit. The computer unit determines the corrected movement data via a reference device (9) according to controlled movement of the movable device. The reference device (9) shows unambiguous aspects of the image in a specified solid angle range, while the computer unit calculates a transformation specification for correction of the original movement data, from an actual image of the reference device (9) recorded by the image detection unit (11).
