A removable pressure-sensitive adhesive which is satisfactory in tackiness and removability in application to paper, the human skin, and the like and is hence free from paper fiber plucking, horny-layer plucking, or the like upon removal and which, when it contains an ingredient beneficial to the skin, enables the ingredient to have excellent long-term stability; and a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet employing the adhesive. The removable pressure-sensitive adhesive is characterized by comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer obtained from an acrylic monomer as a major ingredient and 4 to 20 wt.% hydroxylated vinyl monomer as an essential constituent ingredient, (b) 10 to 200 parts by weight of a softener which is compatible with the acrylic copolymer (a), has a boiling point of 250 DEG or higher, and is liquid, or pasty at ordinary temperature, and (c) 0.05 to 2.0 parts by weight of a crosslinking agent comprising at least either of a polyfunctional acid chloride or an alkyl titanate.
