摘要 PURPOSE: An adsorber of single tower regeneration type is provided, in which volatile organic compounds emitted during painting is removed by adsorption of activated carbon and VOC emitted during drying is removed by catalytic combustion. The adsorber is regenerated by the hot air heated to higher than 100 deg.C by heat exchange, thereby only a single adsorber is used efficiently and economically saving cost by more than 30% than conventional process to remove VOC emitted from a painting booth. CONSTITUTION: The treatment system comprises a catalytic combustion device(7), an air supplying fan(2), a booth air discharge fan(3), an adsorber, an adsorber air discharge fan, a primary mist filter(11) and a secondary mist filter(12), a booth inlet valve(22), a booth by-pass valve(24) and a drying heat supplying piping. During painting step, the booth is ventilated by air supplying and by air exhausting and paint mist is removed by filters(11,12). Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are removed by adsorption at a single adsorber. During drying step, drying air is circulated through by-pass valve(24) with the inlet valve(22) closed and hot air heated to 410 deg.C at catalytic combustion device(7) by burner(71) is circulated through hot air circulating pipe. Then, hot air stream heated to higher than 100 deg.C through heat exchanger(8) flow through adsorber to regenerate activated carbon charged in adsorber and through the catalytic combustion device(7) to burn VOCs. The VOC removed air stream is discharged to atmosphere after heat exchanged at the heat exchanger(8).
