An electrodeless discharge lamp (100), comprising an envelope (1) having discharge gas filled therein, a magnetic core (5), a coil (4) wound on the magnetic core (5) and generating magnetic field in the envelope (1), a magnetizing means (6) formed of a magnetic material magnetically connected t o the magnetic core (5), thermally conductive radiating means (12, 13), and a heat conducting means (11) thermally connected to the magnetic core (5) and radiating means (12) and transmitting heat generated in the magnetic core (5 ) to the radiating means (12), wherein the magnetizing means (6) substantially divides an extruded package including the radiating means (12, 13) and the magnetic core (5) so that the radiating means (12, 13) are separated from th e magnetic core (5) through the magnetizing means (6).
