The invention concerns a communication module for setting up communications between a high-speed low-power radio network equipment and a low-power transmission network equipment. It comprises: a first interface (3) with the high-speed low-power network (1) including: a transceiver (7); means for base band low-level processing (8); means for processing related to the high-speed network operating mode (9); a second interface (5) with the low-power data transmission network (2) including: a transceiver; means for base band low-level processing; means for managing the protocol(s) used by said low-power network (2); a software (4) providing interface between said two interfaces and designed to cause the low-power network (2) equipment to operate as high speed low power radio network equipment.
