A circulation system for the separation of released and/or co-transported carbon dioxide from a coolant/fuel volume flow in an anode circuit, comprises at least one anode chamber of the fuel cell plant and at least one pump. The anode circuit (5) might have a degassing device (8) which is located between the anode chamber (4) and the pump (6) in the flow direction of the volume flow in front of the pump and has at least one entry opening (15) and an exit opening (16). The degassing device has an atomization device (spray nozzle, 19) and a region (gas drainage region, 17) with a cross-sectional expansion in the flow direction of the volume flow after the entry opening.
