A disposable paper diaper having an absorbent, being formed with a waist opening portion and right and left leg openings when the diaper is in use, and having many expansible members disposed, along the peripheral direction of the girth and at longitudinal intervals, at that portion of the girth within a lengthwise range extending at least from the waist opening to the starting ends of the leg openings. At least at the front body, the expansible members are formed discontinuously at part or the whole of a length range within which the absorbent is located, out of a portion extending from a joint on one side to a joint on the other side of the product.
