<p>The method for processing used PET containers for recyling purposes involves comminution into chips, followed by cleaning and screening, wetting with soda lye, drying, heat treatment and cooling, separation by screening of peeled-off chip surfaces and crystallized salts of terephthalic acid, washing for removal of salt residues, neutralization by means of acetic or phosphorinc acid, and final drying.</p> |
