The mixer inlet is fitted with a cover which has an aperture giving limited access to the machine's inner chamber and protected by transverse bars (16, 21). The cover and bars can be made in one piece, either from a thermoformed plastic material or pressed stainless steel, with the bars having an inverted V-shaped cross-section with sides (24) sloping down towards the inner chamber and spaced 20-30 mm apart.
