PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet for a card printer, of which the ink absorbency is high, and which has a favorable absorbency and provides a high glossiness even when being applied to a printer using an ink jet system of a high recording speed such as card printer. SOLUTION: For this ink jet recording sheet, on one surface of a supporting body, at least one layer of an ink accepting layer, and a glossiness-manifesting layer which is coated by a cast treatment are laminated in order. In this case, a short-time water absorption amount of the ink jet recording surface is adjusted to be 25 g/m2 or higher. In addition, as a pigment for the glossiness-manifesting layer, an alumina hydrate is used. And the ink accepting layer contains an ethylene oxide additive of an acetylene glycol for the ink jet recording sheet. |
