PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device equipped with a fixing device which can shorten the start-up time and first copying time of the device while reducing the power consumption. SOLUTION: When input to a document or an operation part by a document platen and an automatic paper feeder is detected as a preliminary operation which is at least one of a series of operations from the powering-on operation (main ON) of the image forming device to an input operation (copy start), heating by a heating means for heating a recording medium carrying an unfixed image is started until the temperature detected by a temperature detecting means detecting the temperature of the heating means reaches prescribed temperature to complete the preliminary operation and a fixing process (copying operation) is started within a prescribed time. |
