REPLACEABLE UNIT AND DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH REPLACEABLE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly discriminate between new and used unit while improving the use efficiency of a component even when the unit is reused by replacing part of the used unit while correctly deciding that the unit is brand-new even after a new/used unit detecting function of the unit that a device is equipped with is tested by adopting relatively simple constitution as to a replaceable unit and a device equipped with the replaceable unit. SOLUTION: The replaceable unit which is mounted on the device is equipped with a relay which outputs a new/used unit identification signal showing that the unit is new or old according to the opening/closing state of a switch, a detection part which outputs a state detection signal showing an operation state by detecting the operation state in the unit, and a single signal line which is used in common for the new/used identification signal and state detection signal.
