摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single head piston type compressor capable of reducing the occurrence of a pressure pulsation, even in a compressor using a high pressure refrigerant, such as CO2. SOLUTION: Recessed parts 134 and 144 formed such that openings are opposed to each other are formed in positions deviated from the directions of the axes of a rotary shaft 16 and a cylinder bore 131 in a cylinder block 13 and a chamber forming housing 14. Muffler ports to effect intercommunication between the two recessed parts 134 and 144 are formed in a valve plate 24 and a valve forming plate 25 interposed between the to recessed parts 134 and 144. Spaces in the two recessed parts 134 and 144 are formed integrally with each other through secure interjoining of the cylinder block 13 and a chamber forming housing 14 to form a muffler chamber 34 extending astride the two recessed parts 134 and 144. The muffler chamber 34 effects intercommunication with a discharge chamber 143 and an external refrigerant circuit 145 through a discharge passage 145. Flow passages through which a refrigerant flowing out from a discharge chamber 143 flows are confluent with each other and the refrigerant is discharged to an external refrigerant circuit.</p>
