PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground valve chest preventing frame bodies from getting into direct contact with a valve main body and a pipe when the frame bodies settles and preventing the valve main body and the pipe form being, deformed, or broken due to an applied lood. SOLUTION: A plurality of cylindrical or angular tubular frame bodies are stacked to form the underground valve chest with the prescribed depth. Each of the frame bodies forming the underground valve chest is made of ductile cast iron, and the thickness is set to 5 mm-10 mm. Notches are provided at the positions facing the stored valve main body and the pipe on the lowermost frame body so that no load is directly applied to the valve main body and the pipe even when the frame bodies are sunk.
