PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organometal complex excellent in heat resistance, oxygen resistance and reaction controllability and having a high metathesis activity, and to provide a metathesis reaction catalyst containing the complex, a polymerization method by using the catalyst and a resin composition obtained by the polymerization method. SOLUTION: This organometal complex compound is represented by general formulas 1, 5 or 6 (wherein, M is a metal such as Ru; R1 and R2 are each hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group; and L1 and L2 are each a ligand and at least one thereof is a group represented by general formulas 2 to 4).
