TRI- AND TETRA-SUBSTITUTED GUANIDINE AND USE OF THE SAME AS EXCITATORY AMINO ACID ANTAGONIST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for treating or preventing nervous diseases including overstimulation of nerve cells caused by an agonist for N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor. SOLUTION: This tri- and tetra-substituted guanidine is expressed by general formula. The substituted guanidine and its physiologically allowable salt are used as an antagonist for excitatory amino acids. As the substituted guanidine, e.g. N-methyl-N,N'-di-(1-naphtyl)guanidine hydrochloride is cited.
