PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the new throttling mechanism of a centralized smokestack capable of fully displaying its function having a simple structure without changing the height of the smokestack. SOLUTION: A plurality of throttle plates 2 in the shape of a trapezoid are annularly arranged inside the top part of a centralized smokestack T along the circumferential direction of it, and the bottom part side of each of the throttle plates 2 is connected in hinged relationship with the inner surface side of the centralized smokestack T. Each of the throttle plates 2 is supported by a supporting part 3 provided on the wall surface side of the centralized smokestack T in such a manner that it is free to rock. Thereby, the structure can be simple, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. The function of it can be fully displayed without changing the height of the smokestack T at all.
