PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy and rapid image forming method which produces reduced harmful effects on the environment and a silver halide photosensitive material and to provide an image-forming method, in which easy and rapid processing is carried out and high sensitivity and superior preservability are ensured, and to provide a silver halide photosensitive material. SOLUTION: A slightly soluble metal compound, dispersed as solid fine particles and surface-coated with a compound giving a solubility product between the solubility product of silver chloride and that of silver sulfide, when the compound forms a salt with a silver ion, is used.
