PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of economically executing so-called index-printing for indicating a list of all the images. SOLUTION: In the case where so-called index printing for printing a plurality of images is performed on one sheet of paper in a matrix fashion in order to indicate a list of the images recorded on a detachable card memory, a controlling microcomputer 11 controls the printing corresponding to selection by a user as to whether or not the last page is to be printed. As a result, it is possible to avoid, based on the selection by the user, a case that printing of the last page having only a few images and a blank portion in the greater part is performed, thereby preventing waste consumption of papers, an ink cartridge and the like.
