PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filing instrument for various documents, which is made of a synthetic resin and abundant in convenient property upon using as well as mass production effect. SOLUTION: The filing instrument is constituted to retain an opening and closing operating piece (19) and a front cover (A) detachably through a slide lever (25). In this case, the opening/closing operating piece (19) is provided with releasable retaining holes (21) opened so as to engage with a pair of filing pins (12) established vertically toward the front cover side from a rear cover (B) together with a back title surface (C) while the front cover (A) is provided with the releasing window (13) for the opening/closing operating piece (19) and a see-through window (15) defined by a partitioning rail (17) provided at a boundary between the operating piece 19 in parallel substantially to the releasing window (13) and the upper end of the back title surface (C). The opening/ closing piece (19) is continued to the upper end of the back title surface (C) differently and independently so as to be opened and closed freely through respective thin hinges (14) and (20). The front cover (A) and the opening/closing operating piece (19) are retained so as to be engaged or released freely through the slide lever (25) slid along the partitioning rail (17).
