The luggage handling device has a carrier arm (14, 16), on the free end of which a loading device (20) is fitted. This has a carrying platform (22) for pieces of luggage, and one rear and one side barrier (24, 26), against which the pieces of luggage lie. There is an unloading device (28) on the platform to remove the luggage from it.
