<p>Where reservation has been made via a bridge (22, 24) in e.g., an IEEE 1394 serial data bus (23), and bus resetting has occurred in a bus connecting to a reserve owner, another bus (27) connected to the bridge (22, 24) is able to find the reserve owner. To this end, a controller A (21) sends its own extended unique identifier EUI-64 to a target (25) to be reserved. The target (25) stores the information of part or all of the functions of the target itself as reserved and the EUI-64 of the equipment (node) which has made the reservation for use. In reserving the target (25), a controller B (26) reads out the EUI-64 of the reserve owner from the target (25) and verifies whether or not the reservation is possible. If the reservation is to be made, the controller B (26) writes its own EUI-64 in the target (25). <IMAGE></p> |
