MAGNESIUM-BASED OXYGEN SCAVENGER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stabilized oxygen scavenger with activated magnesium as the main agent, free from risk of heat generation even in air, and substantially free from loss of its initial oxygen-absorbing activity. SOLUTION: This stabilized oxygen scavenger is obtained by treating zeolite selected as the magnesium carrier with carbon dioxide. Another version of this oxygen scavenger having high oxygen-absorbing activity is obtained by activating the above scavenger through contacting it with moisture or a highly humid atmosphere.
