PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical ferrule for optical connector, with which assembly time can be shortened and an optical connector having simple and stable characteristics can be assembled. SOLUTION: An optical fiber positioning hole 1 is extended from an optical connecting port 1a and at the back, an adhesive charging hole 2 having a diameter larger than that of the optical fiber positioning hole is formed. Orthogonally to the extending direction of the adhesive charging hole, an air release hole 6 for communicating the adhesive charging hole and the external part of the ferrule, which are located on both terminal sides, is formed. Since the diameter of the adhesive charging hole for fixing the optical fiber is large, time for charging an adhesive can be shortened and further since the adhesive can be charged while releasing air bubbles from the air release hole, charging can be performed more easily and speedily. At the same time, since the optical fiber can be fixed by the adhesive, the assembled optical connector can be provided with the stable characteristics.
